Here are mine:

Kids are like bonnets, there is always a bee (or several bees) buzzing in them
Kids are like mystery novels with the last 2 chapters missing, they keep you guessing
Kids are like potatoes, they are surreal
Kids are like theories (especially the postmodern ones), just when you think you've understood them they come up with something new
Kids are like razais, when they are on you you want them off you and when they are off you you want them on you
Kids are like a magnifying glass, the tiniest details become big stories
Kids are our muses, they keep our creativity alive ... which is what we are all doing now, I guess.
